It's double the giggles...
...and double the grins...
...and double the trouble if you're blessed with twins.

{RSV times 3 and outback}

RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) was passed around the Boggess house a couple of weeks ago. Keegan came down with it first. Matthew and I took him in to the doctor, although I was pretty sure it was RSV. The doctor confirmed the diagnosis, but was optimistic because his oxygen saturation was at 98%. She just said to keep a close eye on him and if he began to wheeze then to bring him back in.
Then a couple of days after Keegan contracted the virus, I came down with it. It had been a while since I was sick. The last time I was sick was right after we moved here about a year ago. I came down with really bad altitude sickness. But this cold was worse than when I had strep throat 5 times in one year and then had my tonsils out.
Soon after I became sick, Carter started to show symptoms. Matthew ended up taking Carter to the ER just to make sure his oxygen saturation was okay, which it was at 100%. Overall we were really lucky. The boys had a really mild case and never needed breathing treatments. Still I use to think that being a mom of twins was easy, but after having them sick at the same time as well as myself it was SO hard.
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband who spent his 4 days off taking care of the 3 of us. He let me sleep in quite often and go to bed early. He cooked dinner every night, changed a lot of diapers, bathed 2 sickos, and even bought me a bouquet of beautiful roses... and after about 2 weeks being cooped up and having cabin fever, Matthew treated me to a night out at Outback Steak House.

The roses Matthew bought me
Carter having his temperature taken. He ran a fever between 100 degrees F and 101.7 degrees F for a couple of days. But Keegan never did.
When I see this picture my heart just breaks remembering how bad Keegan was. Although neither boy needed breathing treatments, they both were really sick. Keegan is now not afraid to have his nose suctioned due to the excess amount we had to while he was sick. Carter actually never needed his nose suctioned, but both boys had a horrible cough. We actually had both of them sleeping in the swings for a couple of nights. We also separated them. Keegan slept in our room because his coughing would wake up Carter. So grateful to have my room back!!!

Poor babies! You feel so bad when they're sick and miserable. Good to know everyone feels better.

I am glad that everyone is better. I worry about that too with a newborn.

Poor babies! Sick kids are the worst, especially when you get it too! I'm so sorry, I hope you're all feelings much better.

I'm so glad that your twins and you are feeling better. Good job, Matt, for taking care of everyone!

Glad you are all feeling better. It's hard enough having sick little ones but being sick, also, was probably very rough. Glad Matthew's four days off was at a good time to help. What a great son!:)
