1 month + 5 years

Time flies by and I can't believe that the boys are already 1 month old and that Matthew and I have been married for 5 years. We have had some rough times, but from those rough times we gained many blessings and wonderful memories two of which are our beautiful boys.

The boys had a one month check-up yesterday and they both have gained quite a bit.

Carter

Birth weight: 6lb 8oz

Current weight: 7lb 11oz

Keegan

Birth weight: 4lb 13oz

Current weight: 5lb 14oz

They have gained that weight in just the last 2 1/2 weeks since their last appointment.

Happy Memories:

1st year: poor, happy college students

2nd year: Matthew graduated and was accepted into the Air Force

3rd year: Began our Air Force life and moved to our first station

4th year: moved to our 2nd and 3rd station as well as became pregnant and had our first and second kids

I dated a couple of guys, but not at the same time.

2. What kind of car did you drive?
I drove a 1985 maroon volvo. Fun huh?!

3. Were you a party animal?
Not particularly

4. Were you considered a flirt?
Probably, what girl isn't?!

Nope

6. Were you a nerd?
No I was more of a dork.

7. Were you on any varsity teams?
No I would've been in soccer, but I tore my ACL my sophmore year and never played soccer again.

8. Did you get suspended/expelled?
No, but I did get Saturday school a couple of times because my mom caught me skipping and told the principal on me.

9. Can you still sing the fight song?
No I couldn't while I was in high school.

10. Who were your favorite teachers?
All of my english teachers except for my sophmore year, Mrs. Kipp.

11. Where did you sit during lunch?
When the weather was good, outside.

12. What was your school's full name?
Kuna (say Q-nuh) High School

13. School mascot?
The Kavemen, spelled with a K.

14. If you could go back and do it again, would you?
Heck no.

15. What do you remember most about graduation?
Well one of the speakers was my friend Jamie. He asked me a couple of weeks before graduation what I thought he should speak on, I told him to talk about eggs. Shockingly he did, but everyone thought he was saying AIDs instead of eggs, lol.

16. Where did you go senior skip day?
I don't remember.

17. Were you in any clubs?
Nope.

18. Have you gained some weight since then?
As of right now yes, I just had twins a month ago.

19. Who was your prom date?
I didn't go to prom... :(

20.Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion?
I want to, depends on what else is going on in my life at the time.

family visit

My family came to pick my mom up from her 2 1/2 week stay. It was quite the surprise and I was SO glad for them to come. Here are some pics from their visit.

Bath time has become quite a fun time for us. It definitely takes Matthew and I to give baths since both boys are EXTREMELY squirmy. But now that the boys can be immersed into the water since their belly buttons have healed they really seem to like it. They both especially love having their hair washed.

I didn't realize that Matthew took pictures of me while trying to sleep. So when he was taking a nap today I got him back. Carter definitely loves snuggling up next to his daddy.

Came home today from the gym to see Katie and the boys crashed out on the couch. Thought that it was very cute. Carter especially is loving not being under the billi lights...his jaundice is down and just about gone. Now Carter seems more alert and awake.

Unfortunately Carter wasn't able to get over his jaundice on his own. Yesterday his pediatrician ordered billi-lights and a billi-blanket. He was suppose to be in the lights as much as possible and while in the lights he had to wear a mask over his eyes. As you can see this mask makes him look a little like Batman. Thankfully his billi count has gone way down and for now he has be jail broken. He will be tested one more time tomorrow morning and if his levels are still down we will be able to send the lights back.
