{the harvest is in}
Before we went on our trip the housing office had sod laid in our backyard. And we didn't get a chance to mow it because it wasn't completely attached to the ground...so we had a jungle of a lawn after the trip. Matthew ended up mowing the yard 10 times before it was even and short enough.
The boys wanted to help so badly, so the only way I could calm them down was to sit them in front of the window so they could watch...and watch they did. They watched dad the whole time.
{one dam trip.a love of fish}

While in Vegas we took the opportunity to take a tour of Hoover Dam, which was...let's be honest...a rip off. $9 per person, military rate, and it was a 45min tour 20 min of which was a video of the dam. The most exciting part was the trips in the elevator which held 72 people and a double jogging stroller, and wobbled a whole lot...but at least we can say we took a dam tour.
We also went to the Mandalay Bay Aquarium, which was very cool. Keegan was very enthralled with all of the fish. I touched a sting ray, which was more gross than I anticipated, but oh so cool.
After the aquarium we ate dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe and then headed next door to the M&M store where we bought a lb of m&ms for $15...I know...we should've just bought m&ms at the grocery store...but I must say, those $15 m&ms were very yummy.

We recently got home from a 3 week trip to Idaho and Nevada. We did a lot, and saw a lot. We were able to spend some time in Logan, UT and see an old friend on the way up to Idaho. It was very nostalgic being there, and I have to admit I miss Logan like crazy and still hope to settle there some day.
We had a lot of fun visiting my family in Idaho. We were mainly there for a high school graduation and an 18th birthday, but we had a lot of fun hanging out and cooking. We spent time at school with my mom and went out to lunch with my dad. We went to the Children's Museum and the Capitol Building on Memorial Day. We ate breakfast with my brother Andy and his beautiful wife Ashleigh many a time. Kellie was able to get home for the holiday weekend, and we spent quite a bit of time playing wii and watching movies on the projection screen with my brothers Matt and Mike. We were even able to have quality time with my wonderful grandma Helen. The boys loved every minute of it...especially teasing the cat....
After we left Idaho, we spent time at Steph and Brett's house. The boys were in heaven playing with cousins in their backyard, and we were able to have a barbecue with Travis.
We then spent a week in Vegas. We stayed in a condo and had a lot of fun swimming and site seeing. Unfortunately what happens in Vegas didn't stay in Vegas...we all came home with bad head colds, Keegan had pink eye and Carter had an ear infection...but thankfully we are now feeling much better.
