{this...that...and life}

we've been rather busy for the past 7 months...we've...

moved

played in the sand

rode a ferry

ate some chinese food

flown a few planes

made some friends

swam...a lot

was eaten by a dog

locked out of the house

found a long lost brother

bought a car

left diapers behind

first stop was our stay in roswell, nm on our move from colorado to texas...someone in our family was quite insistent we tour the local ufo museum...

our next adventure was learning how to temporarily be a single mom while matthew went back to colorado to help a friend go cougar hunting and drink a lot of slushies...meanwhile i was breaking into my own house...

and then 24hrs later learning that attempting to be a good samaritan isn't always the best idea...

my neighbors dog...a bullmastiff had escaped from her back yard and i thought i would be neighborly and put him back...as a result i ended up spending 6hrs in an er with a wonderful friend to take care of my humor...and a doctor that i swear was high on sudafed...many laughs were to be had about funyuns and jock straps...and no i wasn't on pain meds yet...

after i healed and matthew was back we decided to take a trip to houston and galveston...we played on the beach...

rode a ferry...

and went to a houston astros game...

which keegan love.love.LOVED...

somewhere in the whole mix the boys learned to pee in the potty...standing up like real men...

and wrestle nacho libre style...

...have no fear...these pull-ups were unused...

we went on an african safari...texas style...and matthew made his first friend...

carter found his funny bone...

i found out i am pregnant...baby boy boggess will be here next may

and right around halloween we happened upon my dad's old plane...

...funny...i remember this sucker being a lot bigger when i was 5yrs old...

we found luigi...mario decided to be mia...

 we took a few walks...

had our hair done...

and smiled an awful lot...

valuable time with family

moving for a 3rd time in a yr

house hunting

...this little boy...on the other hand...
he has become quite the ladies' man...in fact today while at 5 guys he flirted it up with 4 college age girls...he did the works...winking, high five, knuckles...i told him he could look but can't touch til he's at least 25...
he too potty trained quickly, i guess he was just ready and completely willing...
...and it didn't hurt that there may or may not have been some bribery in the way of marshmallows and reeses pb cups...

...he is hilarious and boy...does he know it...
...but he is so sweet at the same time...on our way back from visiting family at Christmas time he turned to me and told me i was pretty...

...hes talking up a storm and it is so fun to listen to his and Carter's conversations...and to actually understand them instead of wondering what language they are speaking...

...keegan has made quite a few fun friends here...he is constantly wondering where jj and lani are...or nate and karen...

he too has been going to speech therapy...and has made a lot of progress...
...in fact i wouldn't be surprised if he won't need it come next year...he has become quite good at talking our ears off...

...keegan is an amazing artist...if you can't find him playing with friends or playing with dinosaurs he is coloring...he is really good at coloring in the lines...

...keegan knows his alphabet and can write over half of them in upper case...he loves to sing and dance...
...and cares a lot about is brother, dad, and mom...he becomes worried when he doesn't know where all of us are...

...this little boy...
this little boy is binky/diaper free.  he has grown a lot in the last 6mo.
...he was sans binky due to all of them being packed accidently when we moved from Colorado to Texas...
and potty training him was cake...it sure helped for him to have a little friendly competition with his brother...
...he even would rather stand and hardly ever misses...thank goodness

...carter definitely isn't afraid to tell you what he wants...he is really into "my turn"...
...fortunately...unfortunately his speech therapist has been teaching him about taking turns and Carter didn't waste any time figuring that part of life out...or at least the fact that he knows he deserves a turn...
...sometimes more often that it should be...

...carter still shows his cute little dimple when he wants something...and bats his long luscious eyelashes...

...but he is silly as ever...

...he's now a sunbeam...my baby cannot be old enough to be a sunbeam...
i was...quite distraught to take him to his first sunday in primary...imagine what will happen when he attends his first day of school...hopefully i won't embarrass him too much...

...carter is supper inquisitive about the world around him...he is usually the first to point out a plane or train...

...and...he has found a love of ethnic food...or rather just a love of chow mien...and he insists on eating the noodles like this...
