It's double the giggles...
...and double the grins...
...and double the trouble if you're blessed with twins.

{merry christmas}

My wonderful sister-in-law made our Christmas cards this year. Didn't she do a wonderful job? If you want her to make you cards then head over to her website http://somethingsimpledesigns.blogspot.com/
This year has been filled with many blessings, the first of which becoming parents after many years of waiting. Our boys fill our lives with much joy. Carter is our shy, quiet, cuddly boy. He looks at you with his big blue eyes and long eye lashes and steals your heart. Keegan is our vocal boy who always makes us laugh. He is always excited about something and wants your attention as much as possible.
Matthew has been working on his Master's degree, working shift work at Schriever AFB, and being a full time dad. He is SO wonderful with the boys. He even lets me sleep in on occasion. I knew he would be a good father, but I didn't realize just how good. He is so patient with the boys. When he comes home from work, the first thing he does is pick the boys up, kisses them, and tells them he loves them and missed them.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom. Of all of the jobs I have had, being a mother has been the most fulfilling. At times it is hard juggling 2 boys, but for the most part we all just go with the flow of life.
We wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and hope that the holidays are filled with joy and love.

Thanksgiving...2009

Happy Thanksgiving...Okay, now this post is not late...its just super early for next year!
Happy Thanksgiving 2009...for 2009 we are looking back to last years (2008) Thanksgiving. Here are a few photos of back then.
It was great having everyone here. My parents were able to drive out and spend a few days with us...should have stayed one more day (Dad, you know what I am referring to)! My brother Eric and his wife Joy were able to fly down, as well as My sister Stephanie and her two boys. Hopefully we will be able to see Steph's husband Brett before their third kid joins them (she'll kill me if you think she's pregnant)...sorry we missed ya Brett.

The Latest photos...been kinda busy

disclaimer

I just want everyone to know that I had nothing to do with the elf video. Matthew couldn't sleep last night so apparently he decided to "play" on the computer. Although I do think it is absolutely hilarious. Also, in case anyone was wondering, the baby picture of me is suppose to be our future daughter. The video required 5 people...

Merry Christmas

{4mo check-up}

Today we took the boys for their 4mo check up and shots. We were anticipating that Carter would be extremely cranky after the shots since he was last time. But this time Keegan was the fussy one. AND I didn't cry this time when the nurse gave the boys their shots. Carter and Keegan have been growing like crazy and aren't just in the 10th percentile anymore.
Carter:
Weight- 13lbs 12oz (20th percentile)
Height- 25" (50th percentile)
Head Circumference- 17.5" (90th percentile)
Development Milestones:
-coos and talks a lot
-smiles and makes eye contact
-still a mama's boy
-rolls from back to side quite often
-sits with support
-holds head up rather well
-eats solids (sweet potatoes, bananas, carrots, peaches, applesauce, oatmeal and rice cereal; will be trying squash tonight. He doesn't like cereal without fruit or vegetables mixed in.)
-somehow scoots across the floor so he can see a different toy
Keegan:
Weight: 12lbs 7oz (10th percentile)
Height: 23.5" (20th percentile)
Head Circumference: 16.5" (50th percentile)
Development Milestones:
-rolls from front to back
-easily giggles and smiles
-makes eye contact
-holds head up very well
-loves the bouncy swing
-sits with support
-eats solids (sweet potatoes, bananas, carrots, peaches, applesauce, oatmeal and rice cereal.)
-very alert about his surroundings (we have a hard time getting him to eat if the TV, radio is on or another person is talking.)

{look what i can do}

So I have been feeling bad because I haven't been good at doing tummy time for the last month. I just kind of quit, but this morning Matthew put Keegan on his tummy and he did this...

This video captured his 4th time rolling over, but he rolled over one more time afterwards. We feel so proud of him. Today he is 4 months and 4 days. Hopefully Carter isn't far behind, but with a head that is in the 75th percentile, it can be hard to roll over.

{cow poke}

My Aunt Cathy sent the boys these beautiful blankets about a month ago. I have been meaning to take pictures with them, but life has been happening. We had some spare time tonight so we decided to go ahead and get the pictures done. She also sent the cute "Heaven Sent" bears that Carter finds quite yummy.

I have a fascination with cows so my parents bought this for me a couple of Christmas' ago. It is huge. The boys look so small while sitting next to it.

YUMMY
Carter has been teething, so he has been chewing on
anything he can get his hands on, even his hands themselves.
Look over there...

Matthew is really good at getting the boys to smile or make them laugh. Especially Keegan...

{hockey}

Matthew had the opportunity to attend a Colorado Avalanche Hockey game this last weekend. He went with his brother Eric, dad Rick, and 3 cousins Nate, Chad, and Brady. They had a blast. Hockey is one of Matthew's favorite sports. Eric played hockey in high school and his mom promised him a ticket when he received his eagle scout. So this last weekend Eric was able to cash in on the promise, 9 years later.
Final Score
