HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE ;)

October 31 was Katie’s Birthday. Happy Birthday again… The last few weeks have actually been rather busy, so I am now getting around to posting this.

Katie and I have been married now for over SIX years. I would say that seems like a long time, however it has flown by so very fast. Especially now with the boys. They are getting to be so big all too fast.

I always knew that Katie would make an excellent mother. Since the boys were born I’ve realized just how great she truly is. She will do anything to comfort them…to make them happy. Even to me she makes it appear so easy. This is what she lives for; it’s everything that she has always wanted. To her, it doesn’t matter if she is “stuck” at home all day, doesn’t matter that we don’t go anywhere once I get home or if I get home extra late from work. There have been countless times I’ve woken with her in the boy’s room, either rocking one to sleep or simply just comforting one. I can see how much Carter and Keegan love their mother. She has that great warmth that calms them down.

Grandma and Grandpa Boggess came to visit

The weekend of Halloween my parents flew in to see us and the boys (mostly the boys, but do you blame them?). It was a blast having them in town and we can’t wait to see them this Christmas. Unfortunately, we don’t live close enough to either set of grandparents that they can be in the boy’s lives more often.

Keegan and Carter really take a liking, as grandchildren should, to all four grandparents.

Thanks Mom and Dad for taking the time to visit. Wish we could see you guys more often.

Last night at midnight, my dad found out that he had the most votes for Kuna's new city council. With 1065 people who voted, my dad ended up with 453 votes. He had 93 votes more than the person who took the 2nd seat in the city council. I am SO proud of him. He worked really hard about something he was passionate about. He ended up going door-to-door and handing out around 5000 flyers and put up signs and he even went as far as buying regular sized candy bars for trick-or-treaters on Halloween and attaching little cards saying vote for me... My dad really wants to change the community for the better... and now he is in a better position to do so. For more info on the election see http://www.kunamelba.com/
