{goodwood explosion}

One of our favorite restaurants is a place that originated in Boise called Goodwood Barbecue. Their BBQ sauce is to die for. Well probably for the past 4 years, or so, every time Matthew has a birthday or Christmas rolls around, my parents give him bottles of their sauce. This Christmas was no different. But we didn't take into the account that we live at a much higher altitude than any of their restaurant locations.

I was cleaning out our pantry and noticed that the bottle was oozing from the top, so I wiped it down only to have it ooze more. Well, instead of just throwing the bottle away, I didn't want to waste an unopened bottle, I decided to open it to see if i could get it to stop oozing. As a result the bottle spewed everywhere, including myself, Matthew and Carter who was in Matthew's arms at the time. Good thing it was bath night, we definitely had ourselves a good o'le laugh. AND it only occurred to me later that trying to salvage an oozing unopened BBQ sauce bottle wasn't a good idea (not just because of the mess), but also because the sauce most likely wasn't edible any more. Thankfully the other bottles are okay. But I think when we open them, we will be much more careful, maybe we will open them outside just for good measure.

There's a Goodwood in Draper, but we haven't tried it yet. Maybe we should...

Now I know why Matthew said he had to hang up to go change!
