Every day Matthew works, we go on a walk on a path that starts at the Youth Center and runs around the end of the runway to the BX and Commissary. Round trip it is about a 4.5 mile walk. I thought I would capture our route today.
The new base housing, this is where the construction workers come in. We pass a lot of unfinished homes, so because I am paranoid I take pepper spray and my cell phone with me.
The end of the runway and part of the Rocky Mountain Range.
The wonderful smelling porta-potty. I don't know if this is along the trail for runners, walkers, and bikers, or if this is for the construction workers... Even so, it smells "oh so wonderful" especially on days like today where is was hot.
The tree blooming after the porta-potty. It smelled SO wonderful today, it was a nice relief from the sewage...
The boys on our walk. I desperately want a running stroller, but twin running strollers (for a decent one) starts at about $200. So for now I am using this stroller, which isn't all bad. Between the stroller, which is about 35lbs and the boys, which is about 30-35lbs, it gives me a great workout going up and down the hills. But that is if I don't bring a diaper bag too.On a side note, Matthew gets off crew shift work starting tomorrow... and beginning Monday he switches to the Nav Shop and starts working the regular 730am to 430pm Monday through Friday Air Force shift. I am SO excited!!!

I know what you mean about the weight of those strollers + kids, except my kids are SO much heavier! Have you tried craigslist for jogging strollers? Maybe it is just here but there are always at least a few for sale. We just bought one for $85 we found on there. It definitely isn't brand new but it is still in good condition and accomplishes what I need it to. It is SO much easier to push!
What a great workout! That's quite a walk! Good going!!!
