HAPPY BIRTHDAY (yesterday) to my favorite wife

Katie and I have been married now for over five years. I would say that seems like a long time, however it has flown by so very fast. I always knew that she would be a good mother. It hasn’t been until these last three months, since the boys were born, that I’ve realized how great she actually is with them. She will do anything to comfort them…to make them happy. Even to me she makes it look so easy. This is what she lives for; it’s everything that she has always wanted. To her, it doesn’t matter if she is “stuck” at home all day, doesn’t matter that we don’t go anywhere once I get home. There have been countless times I’ve woken with her in the boy’s room, either rocking one to sleep or simply just comforting one. I can see how much Carter and Keegan love their mother. She has that great warmth that calms them down…especially Carter. We love you for all of that which you do.

Yesterday was Katie’s Birthday. Happy Birthday again… We actually had a rather busy day, so I am now just getting around to posting this. I decided to take the day off from work so that I could spend the day helping out with the boys (just ask Katie how many diapers she changed on her birthday!). I ended up getting donuts for breakfast, then after feeding the boys and spending a few minutes relaxing we went and got the boys three month photos done. The photos actually took a while…we were there on time, however the family before us took about 30 minutes into our time, so the boys started to get fussy…but the pictures turned out okay. Afterwards we headed home to feed the boys again (they eat every four hours or so…Katie is really good with keeping them on a schedule). The church ward out here had a three ward Trunk-or-Treat, so we got ready and headed to that. The boys were dressed up as Thing one and Thing Two. We had so many people come up and want to see them. I told people that I was dressed up as a burp rag! Anyway, after the Trunk-or-Treat I took Katie out for her birthday dinner. We went to the Olive Garden…Katie was in the mood for pasta and I got soup. For her birthday cake she wanted a Tiramisu…for those who haven’t tried one…it’s not too bad!
Well, here are a few photos…just a few…

Happy birthday {a little late}! Sorry I didn't get you called, but I did remember it was your birthday. :) I hope it was a good day.

Happy Birthday Katie! oh and Matt you might want to consider changing the title of this post, it makes you sound like a polygamist. "my favorite wife" sounds like you have more than one... just kidding. Anyways Happy Birthday Katie.

Happy Birthday Katie!! You are so lucky that Matt took the day off to be with you and the boys. I would love that.
