Yesterday we attended a BBQ for Matthew's squadron. We went because the Squadron Commander was promising that if you attended the BBQ you had permission to skip out on work. We decided it was worth it, free food and no work... Who could ask for more? The BBQ was up at Pikes National Forrest, which has an altitude about 8700ft. We were only outside for a couple of hours, but I forgot that you burn a lot faster at higher altitudes. That is something I had better remember since Colorado Springs is an average of 6200ft. As you can see I have a funny sunburn. You'd think I would've learned after having a sunburn waiting to see the President a couple of weeks ago. Matthew is sunburned a little too, but I got the worst of it.
My arms got the worst of it. But I was wearing flip-flops and my feet are red. My face and neck are also a little red, but not as bad.

Ouch. So, it may be one of those old wives' tales, but I've heard that sunburns are worse when you are pregnant. I had a bad one and it stuck around a lot longer than I think it should have. Hopefully yours doesn't. See ya' Weds!
I was just going to say what Stephanie said. You get burned WAY easier when you are pregnant. The only thing that helped me was rubbing vinegar on it (smelled grose but really worked) Hope it doesn't hurt too bad!!
I never remember to put sunscreen on. Luckily I'm getting WAY better at putting it on the kids but I always forget myself unless we're going swimming. I keep forgetting to put sunscreen on when I go out running and I've gotten burned a couple times. I guess it's a good thing Phoenix isn't at 8500 feet. :)
and PS, your tummy looks cute in the picture, not to mention little for having 2 cute little boys in it. :)
I saw a maternity shirt in Parent's magazine today that said "I have 2 peas in my pod" with a pic of a little peapodwith 2 smiling peas in it. It was super cute and made me think of you. Hope you are doing good.
